Sugar Twist Beanie DIGITAL Knitting Pattern - Adult Size Only

This pattern is written in standard US terms and is designed for adult size only. It is ideal for beginner knitters and includes two versions of the beanie: a single skein version and a striped version with contrasting colours. Please note that meeting gauge is important, particularly indie dyed yarns.

TIP:
When working on the two-toned/colour contrasting beanie, be sure to twist the stitches at the beginning of the colour changing row to lock the stitches and prevent any gaping/holes in the beanie.

ADJUSTMENT: If you would like a slouchy style beanie, just continue repeating rounds 8-13 until your desired length.

Super Bulky: Approx. 70-80 yards for single colour beanie
Approx. 35-45 yards of MC and 30-40 yards of CC for dual-tone beanie

Approx. 45-50 yards of MC and 40-50 yards of CC for dual-tone beanie
Chunky/Bulky: Approx. 90-100 yards for single colour beanie
Approx. 50-55 yards of MC and 50-60 yards of CC for dual-tone beanie

GAUGE (2”x2” stockinette)
Super Bulky: 5 stitches and 6 rows on US13/9mm needles
Light Super Bulky: 6 stitches and 8 rows on US11/8mm needles
Bulky/Chunky: 7 stitches and 10 rows on US10.5/6.5mm needles

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:
The finished pattern should measure 9”-9.5” in length and fit an average adult head size of 21” - 23” in circumference.
